In July, we had the amazing opportunity to hear Jared Lambert talk about new insights into the story of Adam and Eve. It was a fascinating discussion that opened our eyes to things that we’d never seen before in the creation story. We are excited that Jared has agreed to come back and do another fireside, shedding new light on the spiritual power women held in the early church, where women held sacred authority in the earliest temple traditions and served at the altar and within holy spaces. You won’t want to miss this evening.
On Saturday, August 23rd, Jared will trace the story of priesthood beyond traditional lines, exploring how women once held sacred authority in the earliest temple traditions and how that mantle was gradually lost. We’ll look at how priesthood functioned in the First Temple period, where women served at the altar and within holy spaces, and follow the threads of that divine order throughout scripture—from Eve to Deborah, from Mary to early Christian women. This is a conversation about restoration, memory, and the spiritual power that still rests in the margins of the text, waiting to be seen again.
