Reconceiving Divine Relationships as Dialogical
Latter-day Saint scripture offers a vision of profound interdependence and radical inclusion that lies at the heart of the gospel. This vision offers insight into our understanding of our relationship to God, ourselves, and all other human beings, inviting us to a more evolved and expansive understanding and experience of all our relationships. Our hope in Christ and His gospel must impel us to re-envision human communities in ways that are more just, charitable, and faithful, and to co-labor with Him to convert these visions into our reality.
What if our relationship with God and others isn't something that just happens to us, but something we're invited into — a genuine, ongoing conversation? Join us for an evening exploring what it might mean to relate to God, to ourselves, and to each other in an unfolding dialogue rooted in belonging and love.

About our speaker
Deidre Nicole Green is assistant professor of Latter-day Saint/Mormon Studies at the Graduate Theological Union. She is the author of three books, Jacob: A Brief Theological Introduction, Works of Love in a World of Violence, and most recently, Kierkegaard's Visions for Christian Life: Joy Enfleshed. She is also co-editor with Eric Huntsman of an anthology of essays entitled Latter-day Saint Perspectives on Atonement. Deidre completed her chaplaincy training at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics and St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City. In her spare time, Deidre does Muay Thai and teaches transformative life tools to justice-impacted individuals.
